Ser Serpas
Ser Serpas is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses sculpture, painting, poetry, and performance. Her sculptures, which she has referred to as the “aftermath of a private performance or choreography,” incorporate elements salvaged from city streets, creating free-standing assemblages that explore materiality and transformation. Similarly, her paintings capture situations where paint and bodies interact and undergo changes.
Ser Serpas (b. 1995, Los Angeles, USA) lives and works between Paris and New York. Recent solo exhibitions include Bourse de Commerce (Paris, 2023); Swiss Institute (New York, 2023); Balice Hertling (Paris, 2021); LC Queisser (Tbilisi, 2021); Ludlow 38 (New York, 2019); LUMA Westbau (Zurich, 2018); and Quinn Harrelson/Current Projects (Miami, 2017).
