Biographie

Ser Serpas is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses sculpture, painting, poetry, and performance. Her sculptures, which she has referred to as the “aftermath of a private performance or choreography,” incorporate elements salvaged from city streets, creating free-standing assemblages that explore materiality and transformation. Similarly, her paintings capture situations where paint and bodies interact and undergo changes.

Recent solo exhibitions include Bourse de Commerce (Paris, 2023); Swiss Institute (New York, 2023); Balice Hertling (Paris, 2021); LC Queisser (Tbilisi, 2021); Ludlow 38 (New York, 2019); LUMA Westbau (Zurich, 2018); and Quinn Harrelson/Current Projects (Miami, 2017).
